This weekend was a packed weekend. Rodney's San Diego friends organized the semi-annual "Just Us" volleyball tournament in Mission Beach. We still store some 4x4 poles at an apartment there (secret place), where we can set up our own courts. We had 10 people or so, and we played a "King of the Beach" style tournament. Rodney was 1-3, which wasn't surprising since he hadn't played in 18 months.
From there, we dropped Ziwi off at our friends, David and Jill, house, then went to Sea World for local.com's 10th Anniversary celebration. We took in the Sea Lion show, the Dolphin Show, the Shark Encounter, Manatee Rescue, and, of course, Shamu! We hit other stuff too, but those were the highlights.
We spent the night at David and Jill's, then headed home to do the yard work, and then up to Los Angeles for Rasila's friend's, Chris', birthday. It was a nice afternoon after the thunderstorms and the food and the beer were good.
